Norman Terret - President & CEO

Norman Terret is the President and CEO of the Telecom Associates Group which includes a worldwide firm of Headhunters; Management Consultants and Business Advisers; Outplacement and Career Experts; and specialists in bringing American and Far Eastern companies to Europe. He is a senior business figure in Europe and is dedicated to ensuring that the Telecom Associates group provide true added value to clients.

Norman is also the non-Executive Chairman of the Advisory Board of a European Investment Bank, Chairman of Telecom Associates Executive Search and is a Business Advisor to a number of major international companies. He is a lecturer on Executive careers and appears on TV and Radio as a specialist and commentator on Executive pay.

He has many years of top-level line management experience and was previously President and Chief Executive of the ITS/Scitor/Equant group of companies; the former subsidiaries of SITA, which is the world's largest telecommunications network provider. Before joining SITA, he held senior appointments with ITT and STC. His leadership within the SITA subsidiaries contributed to Equant (listed on the NYSE) enjoying a major IPO success, where it was capitalized at several billions of dollars.

He is recognized as a specialist not only in helping companies develop their business profitably, but also as a mentor to Management and Board Level individuals. By nature Norman is a Businessman who delivers results quickly and efficiently and who clearly understands the business issues within the sectors he operates. Furthermore, he is regularly approached to undertake specific assignments where organisations are facing difficulties and need a swift "turnaround".

He has an enviable network of contacts globally, and combines this with extensive research utilizing the most advanced techniques, to provide exceptional service to clients. In these fast moving times and changing environment, he brings skills to assist management in delivering value to shareholders.

Norman is a graduate and postgraduate from Strathclyde University where he studied Business Management, Finance and Law. His wide interests include community and youth work. He has been a Magistrate in London, England, and is a member of the Athenaeum Club which reflects his interests in the arts, sciences and travel. Although his home is in the UK, he is very much an international professional. He was the first UK citizen to be awarded the Compagnon de l'Europe.

His career includes senior management roles with CONOCO, BRITISH GAS, BLUE CIRCLE INDUSTRIES and BROWN AND ROOT.

George has successfully applied Project Management; Systems; and Organisational and People skills to consistently deliver projects on time, internationally, and with major cost savings. He has created new contracting strategies, built around alliance and partnering methods, thus delivering enhanced quality, safety standards, and profit for all parties. He drove an Operations Improvement Programme in a worldwide materials processing and manufacturing environment, achieving major bottom line improvement. He designed a new way to construct offshore platforms leading to mega cost reductions and now subject to a worldwide patent.

His experience includes several years running businesses in the emerging markets of Eastern Europe, creating an Internet business, delivering market share with high margins from new products throughout Europe and generally building new activities from scratch. He is skilled at leveraging the technology of our clients to build revenues and profitability in Europe.

He combines a 15-year international career spanning academia and business with a very down-to-earth and pragmatic approach. Nathan has an eye for a winner and the leading investment organisations, banks, insurance and finance houses rely on his judgement. Nathan has been a University Economics Professor. He has held management roles within AT&T in the USA and Europe; managed commercial initiatives for Unisource throughout Europe, and has led the worldwide Telecoms and Technology practice of Swiss Re (reinsurance) from his base in Zurich.
